Your Way to China’s founding principal is “business in the spirit of service”. It is our belief that entrepreneurship goes hand in hand with building a better world. We are a small, family owned and operated company and we intend to stay that way so we can continue to provide high–quality, personal service that makes a difference in the lives of our clients.

We are a team of professional educators who have lived and worked professionally in China and the United States. Your Way to China is our professional contribution to world unity and global prosperity. We have seen the incredible positive effects of traveling and living abroad on our own lives. Our aim is to help the next generation take their own horizon-broadening, life-changing journeys abroad and to share with them the wisdom and insights we have gained from our own journeys.

Our Team:

Ian Ostrom combines a fluency in Chinese and an in–depth understanding of China with many years of experience teaching the English Language and western culture to university students in China. He has also taught high school Chinese and social studies in the United States. He currently teaches geography and economics, coordinates the middle years IB program, and coaches basketball at Utahloy International School outside Guangzhou, China. Ian is the program director for our study abroad programs.

Lily Tang has drawn upon her bachelor’s degree in Chinese Education and her English fluency in a teaching career that spans two continents, a wide range of ages, and includes native speakers, absolute beginners and many levels in between. She currently teaches Chinese at Utahloy International School outside Guangzhou, China.
